Endurance driving The new Porsche Taycan is the first fully electric production vehicle that features 800-volt technology rather than the usual 400-volt. The benefits of this were on display when the Porsche team drove a pre-production Taycan exactly 3,425 kilometres in just 24 hours at the Nardò high-speed track in Italy. This is the equivalent of driving from the Nardò to Trondheim in Norway. The 800-volt technology, that helped the 919 Hybrid win the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times in a row, enables consistently high performance, reducing charging time and decreasing the weight and packaging space of the cabling.
