Sprint challenge As well as proving itself in Nardò, the sophisticated thermal management in the Taycan was crucial for the sprint challenge that took place at the end of July, in an airfield in Lahr, Southern Baden. Thermal management revolves around a highly efficient, intelligent system for cooling and heating the high-voltage components. The pre-production model accelerated from zero to 200 km/h no less than 26 times in quick succession, proving that the electric powertrain can unleash its full power time and time again. The average acceleration time was under 10 seconds and the difference between the fastest and slowest attempts was just 0.8 seconds. Typical Porsche performance.
